Changsha Metro Group announced on February 24 that it would add extra trains to Changsha Metro Line 2 and reduce train intervals during rush hours starting from that day, in a bid to further shorten the time commuters wait for the trains. The train interval during morning rush hours on workdays is cut from 3 minutes and 47 seconds to 3 minutes and 39 seconds, while the interval during evening rush hours on workdays and rush hours on weekends is reduced from 4 minutes and 5 seconds to 3 minutes and 47 seconds. In addition, two additional trains will run on Line 2 during weekend rush hours to ease a large flow of passengers for shopping and leisure trips and improve the comfort of riding.

Considering the current passenger flow trends and characteristics, Changsha Metro Group has conducted a series of surveys and made a lot of arrangements, comprehensively optimized the organization mode for large passenger flow at key stations, and strengthened coordination with the public security authority, to ensure that the passenger flow organization work is conducted in a safe manner.

Juzizhou or Orange Ise is a 5A-level scenic area that attracts a large number of tourists during weekends and holidays. In light of this circumstance, Changsha Metro Group further optimized Juzizhou Station's multi-level circuit breaker mechanism for a large passenger flow, and taken various measures to deal with a large passenger flow, such as adjusting gate operation mode, adding extra empty trains to evacuate passengers, and separating passengers at entrances and exits in a reasonable manner.

To make it easier for passengers to enter and leave the station quickly, Changsha Metro Group has installed 10 ticket machines outside the Entrance & Exit No. 1 of Juzizhou Station. By purchasing tickets before entering, passengers can help reduce the passenger flow within the station. Meanwhile, there are two self-service ticket affairs processing machines installed outside the station's Entrance & Exit No. 2. This allows passengers to deal with ticket affairs outside the station and avoids the risk of crowd gathering in the station in case of a large passenger flow.
