Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, and Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, met with Zhou Yuxian, chairman of the board of the China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd., CNBM in short, and his entourage in Changsha on the afternoon of February 23rd, 2023.

On February 23rd, Secretary Zhang and Governor Mao met with CNBM Chairman Zhou in Changsha.

Secretary Zhang, on behalf of the provincial Party committee and government, welcomed the guests and thanked CNBM for its long-term contributions to Hunan's economic and social development. He noted that Hunan has been studying and implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and President Xi Jinping's important speeches, directives, and instructions on Hunan Province; giving full play to the advantageous geographical location on the transitional "belt" connecting the eastern coastal area with the central and the western regions and in the junction "zone" between the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Coastal Economic Belt; carrying forward positioning, missions, and tasks of the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy; and, maintaining sound momentum of materials industrial development.

Hunan is a major player in the materials industry. The two sides were expected to deepen cooperation, promote collaboration between industries, universities, and research institutes, expand partnership in new materials sector, and jointly boost the high-quality development of graphite industry. Hunan will strive to make the materials industry better, stronger, and bigger, and better serve the country's new development pattern. Hunan will, as always, support CNBM's investment and development in Hunan and provide quality services and guarantees, he added.

The meeting. 

Chairman Zhou respected Hunan's concern and support for CNBM, and promised to strengthen cooperation fields. The group will optimize industrial layout and accelerate key projects construction in Hunan, to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
