The 34th National Wind Energy Equipment Industry Annual Conference and the Wind Energy Industry Development Summit Forum, opened in Zhuzhou on February 23, 2023.
More than 500 domestic wind power personnel participated. They agreed that wind power industry is at an important period of strategic opportunity, and that continuous efforts should be made to innovate and promote industrial upgrading.
The conference was co-hosted by the CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd., CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd., and Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology Co., Ltd. Eighteen experts delivered keynote speeches and exchanged views focusing on wind power industry development trend, basic research and development, and innovation achievements.
China is the world's largest wind power equipment manufacturer, and has established a relatively complete wind power industrial chain system. As of the end of last year, China's total installed capacity of wind power was about 370,000 MW, a year-on-year increase of 11.2 percent.
Tang Jihong, director of the Hunan Provincial Energy Administration, estimated that, by 2025, Hunan's installed capacity of wind and solar power will reach 32,000 MW, and the output value of new energy industry will exceed 300 billion CNY.
Chen Huiqing, deputy secretary of the CPC Zhuzhou Municipal Committee and Zhuzhou mayor, introduced that Zhuzhou has made great efforts in developing wind power equipment industry in recent years. A complete industrial chain system has taken shape. There are a group of leading enterprises of wind power complete machines and key parts, such as the CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd., CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd., and Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology Co., Ltd. In 2022, Zhuzhou's total output value of new energy and equipment manufacturing industrial cluster hit 66.8 billion CNY. Zhuzhou will spare no effort to develop this industrial cluster into a 100-billion-CNY one.
