The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the persons in charge of the LongPing Agriscience Co., Ltd. ("LongPing Agriscience") had a conversation on agricultural economic and trade cooperation on February 17, 2023 (Tanzanian local time). They jointly launched the China-Tanzania contract farming cooperation project.

Shi Liang, general manager of LongPing Agriscience, introduced that the China-Tanzania contract farming cooperation project is based on Tanzania's geographical and resource advantages. It focuses on soybeans, corn, sorghum and other crops to carry out the entire industrial chain business of seed production and marketing, and grain collection and storage. The company will provide the locals with advanced agricultural technology and professional services and train local agricultural technical personnel. This will help guarantee a stable supply of local food and promote global food security through economic and trade cooperation.

Tanzanian government spoke highly of the comprehensive agricultural industrial chain business mode proposed by LongPing Agriscience, and believed that the project is in line with Tanzania's agricultural and talent development strategy. Tanzania is now strengthening agricultural construction, including formulating an agricultural enterprise cooperation plan. This aims to promote the employment of the youths under multiple approaches, and bolster the country's agricultural economic development.

LongPing Agriscience has been deeply engaged in the seed field for nearly 50 years. It boasts a scientific research layout and commercial networks in South America, the United States, Africa and other markets. In Africa, it has been actively exploring a first-try trade mode with the African countries, to create new opportunities for agricultural trade and investment.
