Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, visited Hunan Agricultural University on the afternoon of February 14, 2023. He inspected school development, scientific and technological innovation, talent training, and school governance.

He asked to study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and President Xi Jinping's important speeches, directives, and instructions on Hunan Province; carry forward the spirit of the Central Rural Work Conference and the Rural Work Conference of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee; take the lead in and shoulder the responsibility of promoting agricultural sci-tech innovation; and, provide sci-tech and talent guarantee for building Hunan into a strong agricultural powerhouse.
