Enterprises, Chambers of Commerce of Asian, European, and African Countries Promote China-Africa Economic, Trade Cooperation

Enterprises and chambers of commerce of Asian, European, and African countries held a talkfest in Changsha on February 6, 2023, to jointly promote the China-Africa economic and trade cooperation. Enterprise and chamber of commerce representatives from Asia, Europe, and Africa discussed on empowering China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.


"We should integrate all forces and resources to jointly promote Hunan's economic and trade development with Africa," they said, adding that efforts should be made to:

- Assist Hunan's "go global" enterprises in solving legal and financing problems encountered in production, operation, mergers and acquisitions;

- Collect information on cooperation projects, integrate available information and resources, and build a win-win service platform for cooperation;

- Form a China-Africa economic and trade cooperation think tank chain to provide top-level design, path selection and cross-border resource integration for in-depth cooperation between China and Africa; and,

- Make full use of Hunan's cross-border e-commerce experience center, connect with commercial and trade channels of Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia and other places, and take advantage of overseas Chinese to enhance mutual understanding and build high-end cross-border e-commerce convention and exhibition brands in Hunan.


The China-Africa Economic and Trade Digitalization Service Base of Hunan Province was unveiled at the meeting. It is jointly established by the China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council and the China Unicom Hunan Branch.

The base is expected to promote innovative application of digital technology industrial finance, new business forms such as barter trade and cross-border e-commerce, China-Africa economic and trade data statistical analysis, and other digital products. It may contribute to China-Africa economic and trade development via information empowerment based on the whole chain of China-Africa economic and trade business, and issue industry insight reports through the use of data statistics, analysis and research.
