The photo, taken on February 7, shows a mechanical arm dispensing drugs quickly and accurately at the Intelligent Pharmacy of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Characteristic Diagnosis and Treatment Center of Changsha Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The pharmacy, which went into operation last month, stores nearly 30,000 boxes of drugs of 600 kinds. Compared with traditional manual dispensing, the pharmacy's robotic dispensing system can greatly cut the average dispensing time from 3-5 minutes to about a dozen seconds and help patients get the medicine more quickly.
