Liuyang City held a conference on February 4 to promote the high-quality development of private economy. A total of 100 million yuan will be allocated to reward 871 private enterprises. In 2022, the city cashed in the policy of giving rewards and subsidies for the high-quality development of private enterprises, with a total amount of 1.323 billion yuan.

At the conference, Liuyang issued 10 measures to boost the high-quality development of private economy, such as further increasing financial support, reducing production and operation costs of private enterprises and solving financing problems for private enterprises. According to the meeting, at least 1 billion yuan of funds will be coordinated annually to support the development of private enterprises. By 2025, tax revenue generated by the private economy will account for more than 70% of the city's total. Zhu Dongtie, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and secretary of the CPC Liuyang Municipal Committee, said that Liuyang will provide the most thoughtful services for private enterprises, so that entrepreneurs can enjoy high respect, excellent policy support, great efficiency, strong legal guarantee, and good government-enterprise interactions. The efforts will greatly contribute to the high-quality development of private economy.

Liuyang has over 30,000 private enterprises and more than 150,000 market participants. Among them, there are more than 900 large industrial enterprises, including 2 ten-billion-yuan industrial enterprises, 9 A-share listed enterprises and 565 high-tech enterprises. Private enterprises, who make up over 90% of the city's total enterprises, contribute about 90% of the city's GDP, 90% of employment and 60% of tax revenue. The city has been rated as a benchmark county-level city for international high-quality development environment for three consecutive years. It was listed as "The Happiest City for Entrepreneurs" in 2022.
