The Tianxin Economic and Technological Development Zone plans to build a global headquarters base for Hunan-born entrepreneurs in the southern area of Changsha, according to a symposium on February 2. The base, or a valley to gather Hunan-born entrepreneurs, aims to pool Hunan entrepreneur resources from all around the world and promote the industries, capital, projects and talents to flow back to Hunan.
The return of Hunan entrepreneurs is a major strategic deployment of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People's Government. There are more than 4 million Hunan entrepreneurs in the world, with their businesses covering more than 180 countries and regions. The assets of overseas Hunan entrepreneurs exceed 4 trillion yuan, nearly 40% of which are invested in high-end intelligent manufacturing and other industries.
Taking into account the development characteristics of the southern area of Changsha, the Tianxin Economic and Technological Development Zone will build the base into a modern comprehensive new town which integrates headquarters office, industrial development and related supporting services. After 3 to 5 years of development, the base will attract 10,000 Hunan entrepreneurs to return to their hometowns and start businesses, drive 100 billion yuan of capital to flow back to the province, help foster a 300-billion-yuan industrial scale, and become a new growth pole for the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan (CZT) Metropolitan Area Industrial Demonstration Zone and the implementation of the Strategy of "Strengthening the Provincial Capital".
The base is planned to be located in the core area of the CZT Metropolitan Area. It will feature an industrial spatial layout dominated by the planning area and areas under its influence. The planning area is located in the southern part of Changsha, with a total planning area of 30 square kilometers. The base will facilitate industrial upgrading and boost the integrated industrial development of Zhuzhou and Xiangtan.
