Hunan's electronic information manufacturing industry raked in 431.4 billion CNY in operation revenue in 2022, rising 20.2% year on year, according to the Hunan Department of Industry and Information Technology.

Electronic information manufacturing industry is one of Hunan's three new major industrial sectors of provincial priority in development. The output value of the sector hit 300 billion CNY in 2021, and achieved a new height of 400 billion CNY in 2022.

Hunan Province takes the lead in computing nationwide. After six-year planning and three-year implementation, Hunan has achieved remarkable progress in computing power. Changsha's new generation autonomous security computing system has been included in the national advanced manufacturing industrial clusters. Following the national deployment, Hunan took the lead in mapping out the first provincial plan for computing industry.

In 2022, Hunan gave priority to 40 significant electronic information manufacturing projects and completed investment of 21.59 billion CNY, overfulfilling the annual investment goal at 118.2%. Twenty-one projects including intelligent terminal equipment of Lens Technology have been completed and put into operation.
