The 2023 Chinese New Year Concert "Our Festival" was held at the Hunan Museum on January 29. The Melete Chamber Orchestra of Changsha Symphony Orchestra provided the audience with a mixture of Chinese and Western classic music.
The concert began with the Spring Festival Overture, which added a festive mood, presented a series of Chinese classic music including Give Me a Rose, Keep Chairman Mao's Words in Mind, Why Are the Flowers So Red, Velvet Flowers, Liuyang River, and Perfect Conjugal Bliss. The museum's instructors guided the audience about Hunan's Spring Festival customs, objects, and interactions displayed at a special exhibition titled "The Flavour of Hunan". The curator of the exhibition introduced the overall design philosophy and style. Tantou New Year painting inheritor showcased the intangible cultural heritage item onsite. Visitors viewed the exhibits while intoxicated by the melodious music.
