January 28 was the first working day after the 7-day Spring Festival holiday. In the afternoon, Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, visited some enterprises in Changsha City. He came to inspect the development of advanced manufacturing and biomedical industries.

He asked to implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speeches, directives, and instructions on Hunan Province, and the requirements of the Economic Work Conference of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the provincial annual "Two Sessions" in accordance with the arrangements of the Central Economic Work Conference. He called for achieving a good start of the new year at a faster pace, to strive for economic growth.

Provincial leaders Wu Guiying and Zhou Haibing, and Qu Hai, a member of the CPC Leadership Group of the People's Government of Hunan Province, joined the inspection.

Governor Mao emphasized that the whole province should carry forward the positioning, missions, and tasks of the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions", and seize the new opportunities brought about by the favorable national macro policies and the environment, as well as the optimization and adjustment of epidemic prevention and control measures;

We should further refine tasks, take pragmatic measures, and strengthen responsibilities to win the "Six Battles for Development". Efforts should be made to:

- Keep moving the industries toward the medium- and high-end;

- Accelerate the "five-good" industrial park and zone construction;

- Step up great self-reliance and strength in science and technology; and,

- Continuously optimize the world-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized.
