On January 26, two shipments worth more than 10 million US dollars were sent from Changsha North Railway Station in Yuhua District, Changsha City on a train bound for Poland, Germany and other European countries. This is a scene showing Yuhua District Blocks of Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area actively seizing overseas markets during the Spring Festival holiday.

With the help of China-Europe freight trains, an important carrier running through the Eurasian continent, Yuhua District has actively grabbed the 2023 European spring market share. During the Spring Festival holiday, it exported famous and excellent products with Hunan characteristics, such as clothing, shoes, hats, daily necessities and electronic products.

The shipments were exported through the market procurement trade declaration mechanism. On September 29, 2018, the Ministry of Commerce and seven other ministries and commissions jointly issued a document approving Gaoqiao Grand Market as a marketplace to pilot the mode of market procurement trade. Gaoqiao Grand Market is the only market in Hunan to pilot the mode. In 2022, Yuhua District's exports via market procurement trade rose 26.8% year on year to hit a record high of 10.7 billion yuan, breaking the 10-billion-US-dollar threshold for the first time.

Market procurement trade refers to a type of export trade mode that goods purchased in the designated market cluster go through quick customs clearance. It is suitable for the export of small commodities, and small batches, multiple batches and various types of goods.
