Deputies to the First Session of the 14th Hunan Provincial People's Congress submitted eight motions and put forward 1,434 suggestions, including 46 raised by local delegations, according to the motion and suggestion group of the secretariat of the session on January 17.
Deputies focused on the implementation of the positioning and tasks of the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy; Hunan's economic and social development; the most pressing difficulties of high concern to the people; rural revitalization, economic recovery; integration of culture and tourism; and medical care. Deputies offered practical motions and suggestions, with targeted and feasible measures. A total of 1,166 suggestions were made through study reports, accounting for 81.3% of the total.
"The quality and quantity of this year's motions and suggestions continue to rise. The motions and suggestions have an overall outlook, precise topics, and rich content, showing deputies' high sense of responsibility," said Meng Hao, deputy director of the Liaison Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress and head of the motion and suggestion group of the secretariat of the session. Meng added that the "golden ideas" will be adopted to help promote Hunan's high-quality economic and social development.
