The traditional Chinese Xiaonian festival, marking the start of the countdown to Chinese Lunar New Year, fell on January 15 in south China. The members of the Xintian County Photographers Association and some Xintian-born calligraphy volunteers went to the Longquan Nursing Home on that day to send blessings to the elderly. They wrote spring couplets and character "Fu" which means blessings in Chinese, and chatted with the elderly to celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival.
