The China Association of Construction Enterprise Management recently released a list of the first batch of 2022-2023 National Quality Engineering Award winners. The Dongting Lake Grand Bridge, a part of Hunan's Linxiang-Yueyang Expressway constructed by the Hunan Expressway Group (HNEG), made the list. This was another honor of the bridge after its winning of the Quality Engineering Award and the Furong Award of Hunan Province, China's top quality award for highway construction Li Chun Award, and China Construction Engineering Luban Prize before.

The Dongting Lake Grand Bridge.

The Dongting Lake Grand Bridge in Yueyang City stretches across the Xiangjiang River, with a total length of 2,390 meters. It is a long-span suspension bridge with two-way six lanes and a main span of 1,480 meters. It was completed and opened to traffic in February 2018, as China's largest and the world's second largest long-span steel-truss suspension bridge at that time. The bridge is of great significance for the development of the Dongting Lake Economic Circle and Yueyang City as well as tourism development and flood prevention and control of Dongting Lake area.
