The Hunan business delegation visited Singapore in mid-December. During three-day visit, the delegation held 15 match-making, project negotiation, and field survey activities. A number of intended deals were reached and over 10 agreements contracted, announced by the Hunan Department of Commerce on December 29.
The Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Changsha Area Yuhua District Blocks reached an intended deal with the Surbana Jurong Group. They will collaborate in the planning, investment attraction, construction, and operation of the 18.9-sqkm Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Rail New Town, to build an international high-end modern service cluster. They will also join hands in the Tanzhou Isle project.
Changsha's Yuhua District intended to learn from the Northpoint City project in Singapore and apply the experiences in the investment attraction of Duhua Road and other underground passages.
Hunan will cooperate with the Pinetree company to develop shared office project. The Hunan Pilot FTZ Yuhua District Blocks planned to introduce such project at the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion and Innovation Park, to attract foreign enterprises with high-standard office environment.
Hunan also reached consensus with the Mapletree Group in putting into use the warehouses in idle in the Wangcheng Economic Development Zone and renovating and upgrading the factory buildings in old industrial parks. An intended deal of Mapletree's central kitchen project in the zone was reached during the visit, with a total investment of over five billion CNY.
Hunan will hold a week-long promotion event in Singapore in June, 2023. Related city and prefecture authorities and industrial parks will attend to attract investment in their industrial chains with advantages, and hold business negotiations with Singapore investors. Hunan brands in the Gaoqiao Grand Market, covering sports equipment, precooked dishes, and tea products, will be promoted.
