A New Year Concert by Tan Dun & Changsha Symphony Orchestra was held at the Changsha Concert Hall on the evening of December 28, 2022.

The concert was organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television, and Film, and Hunan Performance Group. Wang Zhi, head of the Changsha Symphony Orchestra, served as the general planner. Tan Dun, the orchestra's honorary lifetime artistic director and conductor, was invited to conduct the performance. Cellist Mo Mo, hichiriki player Liu Wenwen, haegeum player Zhu Yunqi, shakuhachi player Yang Bowen, pipa player Han Yan, and sheng player Zhang Meng performed as soloists. The Changsha Symphony Orchestra performed together.
