The 18th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) kicked off in Shenzhen on the afternoon of December 28. This year's ICIF highlights the digital strategy and innovation-driven development, the inheritance and development of Chinese culture, the integration of culture and tourism and cultural consumption, cultural cooperation and exchanges, and innovation in exhibitions and trade. It aims to build a productive display and trading platform.
The ICIF is co-hosted by the Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee (National Press and Publication Administration, National Copyright Administration, and China Film Administration), the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Commerce, National Radio and Television Administration, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and Shenzhen Municipal People's Government; and organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on a rotating basis.
The national-level fair, which will run until January 2 next year, is being held both online and offline. It consists of offline exhibitions and trade; online exhibitions and exchanges; and, supporting activities. The main venue has six exhibition halls covering 120,000 square meters, which focus on displaying domestic and international excellent cultural industry projects and products. The cultural products and projects of these exhibition halls are also displayed online based on panoramic shooting technologies. In addition, a virtual international hall opens to strengthen online and offline interaction. The fair attracts over 2,500 government groups, cultural organizations and enterprises to attend its offline events and over 900 institutions and companies to participate online. It hits a record high in the number of participants. Among the exhibitors, there are more than 70% of leading enterprises in the cultural industry. More than 40% of the exhibited cultural products and projects made their debut at the ICIF.
Hunan Pavilion is located in the Cultural Industries Hall B, with an area of 600 square meters. With the theme of "Hunan's Cultural Industry Forges Ahead", the pavilion highlights the characteristics of Hunan Province, sets up two exhibition areas to showcase new achievements in the development of Hunan's cultural industry through graphics, objects, videos, sound, light, and on-site interactive settings and activities.
The image exhibition area takes Yuelu Academy as the main image, with a virtual human named "Xiaoyang" to give explanations. It uses display boards and objects to present the overall development of Hunan's cultural industry, attracting visitors to learn more about a new open Hunan with profound cultural heritage and beautiful scenery.
The content exhibition area focuses on exhibitions of Hunan Daily Newspaper Group, Golden Eagle Broadcasting System, Hunan Publishing Investment Holding Group, Hunan Sports Industry Group, Hunan Performance Group, Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park as well as integration of culture and tourism. It highlights new achievements made by Hunan in high-quality development of the cultural industry while bearing in mind President Xi Jinping's entrustment.
