Qin Guowen, vice governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, visited the Hunan Children's Hospital, Yifeng Pharmacy, First Hospital of Changsha, Hunan Anbang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Liuyanghe Neighborhood Community Health Service Center on the afternoon of December 13, 2022. He made the tour to inspect the medical services and medicine supply for COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control. He called for doing everything possible to ensure medical treatment in a safe and orderly manner and sufficient medicine supply, to better safeguard the lives, health, and safety of the people.

Vice Governor Qin required that hospitals should scientifically and rationally categorize differentiated zones for patient treatment, to ensure admission and treatment for all patients. He asked to strengthen the reserve of medical resources; continuously improve scientific and accurate prevention and control and medical service guarantee capabilities; and, ensure proper implementation of the national "10 new measures". We should care for medical workers and attend to their needs; minimize their occupational exposure risks; undergo health monitoring; and, implement and guarantee incentive policies. Community health workers should act as "family doctors"; give full play to the guidance role of home isolation and rehabilitation; and, actively carry out online consultation and diagnosis, to provide convenient medical services to the people, he remarked.

He also asked relevant enterprises to actively fulfill their social responsibilities during critical periods and do well in production, supply, and distribution of medicine to treat COVID-19 in accordance with the urgent needs of the market. Pharmacies should offer adequate medicines and medication guides, as well as popular science publicity, to avoid stocking up medicine or repeated use of medicines by the masses, he added.
