Hunan Government Solicits Opinions, Suggestions for Drafting 2023 Work Report

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, presided over a symposium on the afternoon of December 7, 2022. It aimed to solicit opinions and suggestions for the 2023 Hunan government work report from some deputies to provincial people's congress, members of the provincial CPPCC committee, and people's congress deputies at grass-roots level.

He asked to implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress; listen to and absorb insights of the deputies and members; draft a report that will better carry forward the spirit of the CPC Central Committee, reflect the requirements of the times, and respond to the concerns of the masses; and, gather wisdom and strengths for socialist new modern Hunan construction.

Provincial leaders Li Dianxun and Qin Guowen, and Secretary General Deng Qunce, attended.


Liu Suyue, Lei Guanghua, Liu Weidong, Zeng Zhigao, Wang Huiping, Tang Guohua, Shu Xinghua and other representatives made speeches separately. They put forward opinions and suggestions on accelerating the building of a pilot zone for in-depth China-Africa economic and trade cooperation; promoting the high-quality development of public hospitals; continuously promoting the modern industrial system chain; comprehensively boosting rural revitalization; achieving breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields; bolstering the growth of private economy; and, developing education that meets the people's expectations.


Governor Mao listened attentively and joined their discussions. He remarked that the opinions are objective, pertinent, accurate, and comprehensive, and reflect the comrades' strong political responsibility, sincere affection for the people, and professional fulfillment of duties. The government work report drafting group should effectively incorporate the ideas into the report, so that the report will be more in line with the needs and expectations of the cadres and the masses provincewide, he added.
