The State Council's joint prevention and control mechanism against COVID-19 released a circular on further optimizing the COVID-19 response on December 7th, announcing ten prevention and control measures. According to the circular, cross-regional travellers are no longer required to show proof of negative nucleic acid testing results or have digital health codes checked and are no longer needed to take a test upon arrival.

The Changsha South Railway Station has removed facilities for checking health QR codes and digital travel records. Starting from December 7th, the Changsha South Railway Station and its 17 subsidiary stations no longer require passengers to present proof of negative nucleic acid testing results taken within 48 hours and to have health QR codes checked when passengers buy tickets, board a train, and enter and exit the stations.

The voice prompt of 12306, the service hotline of China's train tickets booking platform, was changed on December 7th. The new voice prompt is that passengers are no longer required to show proof of negative nucleic acid testing results taken within 48 hours and have health QR codes checked when buying tickets, boarding a train, and entering and exiting the stations from now on. Epidemic prevention and control measures for those entering Beijing will be adjusted until further notice.
