The Hunan Development and Reform Commission recently issued a layout and development plan for the provincial-level support industrial park for key advanced manufacturing industry. An automobile manufacturing support industrial park will be built in the Airport Block of the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Changsha Area.
According to the state-of-the-art development and layout of Hunan's key advanced manufacturing industry, the first batch of planned support industrial parks will include: two for automobile manufacturing; two for electronic equipment; one for rail transit equipment; and, one for aerospace and aviation.
The automobile manufacturing support industrial park in Changsha will be based on the Hunan FTZ Changsha Area Airport Block Management Committee and its management regions. It will cover a total area of 15.93 square kilometers, including 8.77 square kilometers for short-term development.
The park will strive to construct a center of important automobile parts in the central regions of China, and a core zone of automobile part industry in Hunan Province. The automobile part manufacturing revenue of the park is expected to exceed 40 billion CNY by 2025.
