The photo, taken on November 29, shows villagers picking oranges at a fruit plantation base in Longwang Village, Longtan Town, Jiahe County. In early winter, more than 1,200 mu (80 ha.) of orange trees in the village have entered harvest season. Villagers are busy picking oranges and transporting them to fruit markets in Changsha, Guangzhou, and Nanjing. In recent years, the county government has leveraged its selenium-rich soil resources and good natural environment to set up 60-plus fruit and vegetable plantation bases. These efforts help increase villagers' income, drive the development of agricultural industry, and boost rural revitalization and green economy. (Photo/Huang Chuntao)
