On November 26, 12 TEUs of agricultural equipment donated by the Hunan Provincial People's Government to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MOAF) of the Lao People's Democratic Republic were shipped from the Huaihua International Land Port Customs Supervision Area to Vientiane, capital of Laos.
The Hunan Provincial People's Government and the MOAF of the Lao People's Democratic Republic signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) on the "one railway and two industrial parks" project on August 26th, 2022. A donation ceremony for agricultural equipment was held simultaneously. The donated equipment was hit product of Zoomlion, one of China's largest heavy machinery companies. They included rotary cultivators, rice seedling throwing planters, rice seedling tray seeders, disc ploughs, rice harvesters and four other products.
This donation of equipment arrived in Huaihua in mid-November. The New Land-Sea Corridor Operation (Hunan) Limited was in charge of the delivery of the equipment. In addition, the Huaihua Customs opened a green channel to facilitate customs transit formalities and ensure the equipment is shipped to Laos through the China-Laos freight train service.
The Huaihua International Land Port, the only freight transport hub that connects Hunan with AEASN countries, has operated 125 freight trains at present, including 94 rail-sea combined transport trains, 27 China-Laos trains, and 4 China-Vietnam trains.
