The 2022 Asia-Pacific Smart City Development Forum was held recently. Changsha was named "China's Leading Smart City 2022" at the forum, winning the honor again after the first one in 2021.
On November 21st, sets of data were seen rolling on a high-definition LED screen of the Changsha Smart City Comprehensive Operation Command Center, showing the city's economic operation, government services, ecological environment, urban governance and other special information. This is the comprehensive operation command system that was launched online this year. It fully incorporates the existing achievements of Changsha's smart city construction and builds a real-time and video map-based city scene combining virtual and authentic experiences. In addition, four significant capabilities--situational awareness, monitoring and early warning, decision analysis, and coordinated command are created to achieve the refined urban governance goal of "comprehensive monitoring on one screen and whole-process scheduling within a hall" and improve the city's overall governance capacity.
Behind the strong perception and command capability are Changsha's standard capabilities and infrastructure featuring "cloud, brain, network, and security". Last December, Changsha launched the "Changsha City Super Brain 1.0" and released a list of 187 smart central capacities. The Data Middle Platform has collected more than 33.9 billion data, with essential databases on population, legal persons, geographic information, urban components and house property formed. As a result, a smart city operation pattern of "empowering the whole city with one brain and benefiting the whole city with data" has taken shape.
In addition, Changsha has led the country in building a new government cloud system featuring "one main platform, multiple auxiliary platforms, integration of various cloud systems and independent innovation", and established the country's first Kunpeng Government Cloud Benchmarking Laboratory. To date, the "Changsha Government Affairs Cloud" provides efficient, safe and reliable cloud services for 78 units and 422 systems across the city. Since its launch three years ago, the "My Changsha" APP has offered over 2,000 urban services involving clothing, food, housing, transportation, birth, elderly care, medical care, and parenting. Registered users have exceeded 9.6 million, covering more than 80% of the city's permanent resident population.
