The First Changsha Tourism Development Conference is scheduled to take place in Wangcheng District from November 22 to 24. A press briefing for the conference was held on November 21. Changsha's new cultural tourism slogan and logo were released on site.

The conference is composed of 4 main activities and 9 supporting activities. The 4 main activities are the Changsha Cultural Tourism Investment Promotion and Culture-Tourism Integrated Development Forum, project inspection tours, a promotion conference on the development of the tourism industry, and a cultural tourism promotion conference. 

The conference will advance investment promotion and project construction in an all-round way. During the Changsha Cultural Tourism Investment Promotion and Culture-Tourism Integrated Development Forum, agreements (including letters of intent) concerning 15 key projects will be signed. The projects include the Liuyang "One River and Two Banks" Development Area "Sky Theater" Project and the Overseas Chinese Town Changsha Happy Valley Cultural Tourism Project, with a total value of 26.066 billion yuan.

The supporting activities include the Changsha Forum for the Think Tank of the City Alliance of Maritime Silk Road Heritage Conservation and Inscription on the World Heritage List, the 2022 Hunan Rural Cultural Tourism Festival, the 2022 Weibo Super Influencers Festival, the 2022 Baidu City Creators Conference, the 8th "Art of Changsha" Biennale, the First Liuyang River Cultural Tourism Festival of Changsha City, the 2022 Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan College Students Music Festival, the Changsha Azalea Art Festival, and the First Yuanjialing Theater Festival.

During the conference, inspection tours to the Tongguan Trading Market, the Chenjiaping Site, the No. 5 Valley, and other key places will be arranged. This will enable participants to truly feel the speed-up of Wangcheng's project construction and its improvement in scenic spots, tourism products and regional image. 

In addition, Shan Jixiang, president of the Chinese Society of Cultural Relics; Wang Han, host of Hunan TV; and, Zuo Xiaoqing, a famous actress, will be appointed as Changsha's cultural tourism ambassadors to fully mobilize various social forces to promote Changsha's tourism and create a good atmosphere for the whole society to boost tourism development.
