During the 24 hours of November 17, there were 135 new asymptomatic cases reported in Hunan. Six were imported cases and the other 129 included 64 in Zhuzhou, 16 in Shaoyang, 15 in Changde, 3 in Huaihua, and 2 in Yueyang, all of whom were found among the people under quarantine; 25 in Xiangxi, among whom 12 were found among the people under quarantine; 2 in Changsha, among whom 1 was found among the people under quarantine; 1 in Yiyang; and, 1 in Yongzhou. There were 2 new asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. There were 18 new cases out of quarantine. There were 3,628 people under medical observation (including 13 imported cases).
Between 0:00 on January 1, 2022 and 24:00 on November 17, 2022, a total of 639 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 67 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 166 patients hospitalized (including 3 imported cases), and 1 severe case. Four hundred and seventy-three patients were discharged from hospitals (including 64 imported cases). No people had died.
