The 2022 Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) was held in Chengdu from November 15 to 16. With the theme of "Cities Inspired by People", the congress was held simultaneously in Barcelona and Chengdu in an "online + offline" format. Over 600 cities from more than 80 countries were connected online to discuss the new future of smart city development. An award ceremony for Chinese winners of the World Smart City Award was held on November 16 evening. Changsha case stood out from 126 outstanding cases from 44 cities, making the city a winner of the 2022 SCEWC "City Award".
Zhang Wu, Party Leadership Group secretary and director of the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Data Resources Management, delivered a speech themed "Digital Keys Open a New Future for Urban Development" during a roundtable discussion. He promoted Changsha's innovative practice of building new smart city to lead and drive the city's digital transformation and high-quality development in various fields.
By building a well-coordinated top-level architecture system, an intensive and sharing basic support system, a people-oriented intelligent application system and a data-based industrial ecological system, Changsha's smart city construction has achieved phased results.
The Changsha government took the lead in issuing the Top-level Design of New Smart City for the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) Period, specifying the city's smart city construction goals, structures and processes.
The "Changsha Government Affairs Cloud" provides efficient, safe and reliable cloud services for 78 units and 422 systems across the city.
The "Changsha City Super Brain 1.0" has 187 intelligent hub capabilities. It collects more than 17 billion pieces of government data, and shares and sends them for tens of billions of times on a cross-departmental basis. A pattern of "empowering the whole city with one brain and benefiting the whole city with data" has taken shape.
The "Internet plus Government Services" platform has provided nearly 3,000 high-demand government services on an inter-provincial basis.
"My Changsha" App serves more than 9.5 million registered users efficiently and conveniently.
Under the Skynet Project, more than 270,000 intelligent cameras have been set up to protect the city's safety.
A total of 2,073 intelligent buses have been put into use to facilitate citizens' travel.
The "Intelligent Medical Care" platform has been connected to 251 hospitals, making online registration, payment and report reading possible.
The "Smart Education" platform builds cloud-based classrooms to support millions of teachers and students in attending online courses during the epidemic.
