Students Learn Drum Dance of Miao Ethnic Group to Promote Traditional Culture

The photo, taken on November 16, shows students practicing drum dance of the Miao ethnic group under the instruction of an inheritor of Miao drum dance at the No. 2 Primary School, Jishou City. In recent years, the school has introduced Miao drum dance which was inscribed on the national intangible cultural heritage list, to enrich students' school life and enable them to experience the charm of fine traditional Chinese culture. The move helps increase students' understanding of and interest in Chinese culture and inspire their pride for the love of their group. (Photo/Zhang Tiehao)
