The "Academicians' Hunan Trip" Talkfest of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) was held in Changsha on the afternoon of November 12, 2022. Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, and Li Xiaohong, secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and president of CAE, attended and delivered speeches. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, presided over the meeting.

Four CAE academicians Liu Jingnan, Wan Jianmin, Wang Yaonan, and Tian Hongqi made speeches on topics like intelligent new energy vehicles, seed industry development, intelligent manufacturing equipment, and the transformation of scientific and technological innovation achievements. The academicians were full of confidence in the future development of Hunan and looked forward to the promising cooperation between CAE and Hunan Province. They agreed to base on their respective advantages and characteristics, identify the combination of sci-tech research achievements and Hunan's industrial development, further strengthen collaboration and matchmaking, and contribute new wisdom and strength to promoting Hunan's economic and social development.
