On November 9, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued a notice on pilot cities for intelligent construction. It announced that 24 cities including Beijing, Tianjin and Changsha were listed as pilot cities for intelligent construction for a period of three years.
The pilot cities of intelligent construction include Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Xiong'an New Area, Baoding, Shenyang, Harbin, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wenzhou, Jiaxing, Taizhou, Hefei, Xiamen, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Changsha, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Chengdu, Xi'an and Urumqi.
The pilot cities should strictly implement the pilot implementation plan, establish and perfect the overall coordination mechanism, increase policy support, and promote pilot tasks in an orderly manner to ensure that practical results will be achieved. The pilot cities are urged to timely sum up experience and develop pilot results that are perceivable, quantifiable and appraisable. These cities are requied to report their progress of pilot work at the end of each quarter, and submit an annual report before the end of each year.
The housing and urban-rural development authorities at provincial level will increase guidance and support for pilot cities, publicize and promote experience and practices that can be replicable and scalable, and facilitate problems solving. The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development will also regularly evaluate the implementation progress, scientific and technological innovation achievements, economic and social benefits of each pilot city, commend cities that have done solid work and achieved remarkable results, and strengthen supervision over cities that are behind schedule in pilot work.
