The Hunan Provincial Territorial Spatial Planning Commission held its first plenary session of 2022 in Changsha on the afternoon of November 9. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, asked to follow the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and stay true to the principle that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. He called on people to remain patient, think long term but act with a sense of urgency, so as to build a Green Core Central Park of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan (CZT) Metropolitan Area with Hunan characteristics, standing at the forefront nationwide, and with international influence.

Provincial leaders Li Dianxun and Zhang Yingchun, and Secretary-General Deng Qunce, attended.

The meeting listened to a report on the planning work of Green Core Central Park, and deliberated and approved the "Overall Design of CZT Green Core Central Park".

Governor Mao stated that the CZT Green Core Central Park construction is a major initiative to implement Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization; an exemplary model of Hunan in upholding and acting on the idea that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets; and, a concrete deed in practicing the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important instructions. The overall design reflected a big-picture perspective of implementing the benchmark, demonstrated the high standards of excellence, and presented the high quality reached via arduous efforts.
