Some scenic spots in Hunan Province have announced they would be temporarily closed or under semi-closed management due to a resurgence of COVID-19 infections and an assessment of forest fire prevention and control risk. 

Changsha

From November 2nd to 30th, some scenic spots in the Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area are scheduled to carry out semi-closed management. Among them, the Lushan Scenic Area would open its east, south, and west gates and secondary entrances in Hunan University, Hunan Normal University, Central South University, and the Party School of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee. The Taohualing Scenic Area would open east and north gates. The Tianma Mountain Scenic Area would only open the Former Residence of Xiao Jinguang and the Museum of Navy Equipment. The Fenghuang Mountain Scenic Area will be closed. Other scenic areas, including Shijialing and Zhaiziling, which are under construction, will be closed as well.

Heimifeng National Forest Park, Guo Liang Cultural Park, Dawei Mountain National Forest Park, Liuyang Xixi Panshi Grand Canyon were temporarily closed until further notice. 
 
Since the second half of 2022, Hunan has experienced a long-continued dry weather with little rainfall. As a result, the risk of forest fires has reached the highest level. The forest fire prevention and control situation is dire and complex. Therefore, the Hunan provincial government issued the No. 311 Decree on Mountain Closures and Fire Restrictions. Following the spirit of the decree, the Hunan Botanical Garden announced on November 1st that it would implement semi-closed management from that day to November 30th. The decision was made based on the garden's actual situation and approved by the Yuhua district government.

During the period, the garden only opens its north, west and new east gates. Visitors must scan a fire prevention code, a venue code and a reservation code before entering the garden. It is forbidden to bring fire into the garden. Anti-epidemic regulations will be strictly followed. The opening hours are adjusted to 6:30-18:30.
 
Hengyang
 
Nanyue Temple, Zhurong Town, Zhusheng Temple, Dashan Temple and other scenic spots and religious venues in the urban area of Nanyue District reopened to the public starting from 8:00 am on November 1st, according to a notice from the Nanyue District Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television, and Sports. However, the opening hours of Nanyue Temple are 8:00-17:30. Nanyue Hengshan Mountain Core Scenic Aare and Shuilian Cave Scenic Area will continue to be closed until further notice.

Tourists are required to make a reservation in advance via the WeChat official account "Nanyue Tourism [南岳旅游]". Those with a travel history to provinces outside of Hunan Province and places inside Hunan Province with confirmed cases must provide negative nucleic acid test results within 48 hours before entering Nanyue District. They are also required to take nucleic acid tests on arrival and take two nucleic acid tests in three days.
 
Zhuzhou

From November 2nd, tourist attractions in Zhuzhou City will be temporarily closed. The Zhuzhou Museum, the Xiangshui Garden of Shisanmen Modern Agriculture Park, Shifeng Park, the Dajing Scenic Area, and Pengyuanxian Forest Park in Longtan Town were temporarily closed. In addition, the Yanling Red Army Slogan Museum (including the cultural square) was temporarily closed from November 2nd until further notice and all gathering activities  cancelled.

From November 2nd to 15th, Youxian County would implement closed management in nature reserves (including Youzhou National Forest Park, Jiubujiang National Geopark, Jiubujiang National Wetland Park, and Jiubujiang Scenic Area), Pijia Cave, Xianren Bridge, Bailong Cave, Baoning Temple, Yangsheng Temple, Dongchong Arsenal, Lenin Room in Nan'an Village (a kind of recreation club built in revolutionary base areas), Xugong Store Leisure Farm, Wangling Jiankun Ecological Park, Zhuzhou Jialingyao Garden Co., Ltd., and Xiangtianhua·Tianluhu Camellia Oil Culture Technology Industrial Park. Any units and individuals are not allowed to enter without permission.
 
Xiangtan
 
Paragon Garden's forest areas and paths to Huahai Paradise were closed. In addition, Dongtai Mountain National Forest Park in Xiangxiang City continues to implement semi-closed management until further notice.

Shaoyang
 
Langshan Scenic Area and all A-level scenic spots in Longhui County (including Xiangjiao Dongcang Chateau, Longyao Yougu Scenic Area, Former Residence of Wei Yuan, Xiangjia Niutianling Scenic Area, Huayao Huxing Mountain Scenic Area, and Wei Yuan Hotsprings) were temporarily closed until further notice.
 
Yueyang

Dayun Mountain National Forest Park in Yueyang County and Wujian Mountain National Forest Park Protection Center continue implementing closed management until further notice.
 
Yiyang
 
Taohuajiang Bamboo Sea Scenic Area was temporarily closed until further notice.

Changde

From November 2nd to 30th, Taohuayuan Scenic Area will be temporarily closed until further notice.

Jiashan National Forest Park in Shimen County would implement closed management, while Jiashan Temple, Li Zicheng's Mausoleum and other cultural sites still open to the public. 

Loudi

Feishuiya Scenic Area in Lianyuan City was temporarily closed until further notice.
 
Chenzhou
 
From November 1st, Yangtianhu Grassland Scenic Area was temporarily closed. The mountain-around racecourse and Yunsu Inn outside the scenic area are open as usual. Still, Yunji Hotel, Yunshe Hotel, Hushangyunju Inn, and Yunye Camping Site are temporarily closed until further notice.

Wuzhi Peak in Mangshan Mountain continues to be closed until further notice.
 
Yongzhou

Eighteen scenic spots in Yongzhou were closed, including Yongzhou Forest and Botanical Garden, Yunbing Mountain, Shidongyuan Scenic Area, Tongzi'ao Scenic Area, Yangming Mountain Scenic Area, Long Family Courtyard, Emperor Shun Mountain, Shunyuan Peak, Yuntai Mountain, Huaqiangu Scenic Area, Sanfenshi Scenic Area, Qianjiadong Scenic Area, Huanglong Scenic Area, Humei Tianyuan Scenic Area, Tanwenxi Scenic Area, Baidieling Scenic Area, Jindong Nanmu Theme Park, and Xiangcaoyuan Scenic Area.
 
Huaihua

Huaihua Grand Canyon Scenic Area was temporarily closed, and the valid period of all pre-booked tickets would be prolonged according to the closing time. In addition, Tongdao Huangdu Dong Cultural Village, Yutou Ancient Dong Village, and Wanfo Mountain Dong Village Study Tour Base were temporarily closed until further notice.
