Bauma 2022, the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, was held in Munich, southern Germany, between October 24 and 30. This year's Bauma focused on digitalization and sustainability. More than 3,000 exhibitors from 58 countries and regions participated. Hunan's construction machinery enterprises became a highlight of the fair for their advanced technologies and products in terms of digitalization, intelligence, and electrification.

Zoomlion: Benchmark of Customization and Localization

Zoomlion was in the spotlight. As of October 28, it had won 1.2 billion CNY of orders, or intent of ordering, covering all its major product classes such as mobile crane, concrete, earthmoving, MEWP, tower crane, and forklift.  

CIFA, Zoomlion's subsidiary in Italy, presented its new types of tyre cranes, all-terrain cranes, and tower cranes which were custom-tailored for the European markets. Zoomlion has set a benchmark for crane research and development and Europe-oriented localization manufacturing.

SANY: Standing out in Electrification Field

SCE800TB-EV, the world's first fully battery-driven telescopic boom crawler crane developed by SANY, has hit the headlines since its debut on the fair's opening day. It was ordered by a Norwegian client as soon as it was displayed.

SANY acquired German concrete pump maker Putzmeister ten years ago. At the Putzmeister exhibition area in the fair, the electric truck mixer co-developed by the two companies was eye-catching. It was the first China-made electric mixer truck that obtained European market access after passing nearly 80 rigorous examinations. More than 400 orders, or intent of ordering, were reached on the opening day.

As the global top excavator seller, SANY released ten new types of the excavator at the fair. The new electrically powered SY19E mini excavator made its debut in Europe and attracted drivers queuing for a test run.

Sunward: Orienting to International High-end Market

Sunward showcased more than 20 innovative brand products, including its self-developed excavator, skid steer loader, aerial work platform, and rotary drilling rig, representing the innovation strength of "Made in China".

Sunward displayed its intelligent aerial work equipment at Bauma for the first time. It has developed more than 30 types in 6 categories of innovative products in the past two years. A continuous stream of visitors came to the Sunward booth for enquiry, and its aerial work equipment on display were sold out on the opening day.

Europe is a major export market for Sunward. In 2021, its sales in Europe increased by 128% over the previous year. Sunward has sold more than 20,000 intelligent excavators to Europe since it fulfilled its first European order in 2004. It has become one of the most popular excavator brands in Europe.
