China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the lists of the fourth batch of key rural tourism villages and the second batch of key rural tourism towns (townships) on its official website on October 27. Three towns (townships) and seven villages of Hunan Province were included on the lists as candidates.

This year a total of 98 key rural tourism towns (townships) and 200 key rural tourism villages are made public as candidates.
The candidates of key rural tourism towns (townships) of Hunan Province are:
-- Nanyue Town, Nanyue District, Hengyang City;
-- Xiehe Township, Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie City; and,
-- Wanjing Town, Ningyuan County, Yongzhou City.
The candidates of key rural tourism villages of Hunan Province are:
-- Zhumugang Village, Sanguansi Tujia Township, Cili County, Zhangjiajie City
-- Lingjiaocha Village, Quanjiaohe Town, Heshan District, Yiyang City;
-- Xinyi Village, Quzici Town, Miluo City (county-level), Yueyang City;
-- Liujiazhuang Village, Qianjiadong Yao Township, Jiangyong County, Yongzhou City;
-- Dehang Village, Aizhai Town, Jishou City, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture;
-- Meitianhu Village, Gugang Town, Liuyang City (county-level), Changsha City; and,
-- Qixing Village, Zhaoshan Town, Yuetang District, Xiangtan City.

The selection was carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the National Development and Reform Commission. The lists of candidates are open for public review for five days.
