A foreign livestreaming host promoted Zhuzhou clothes, Liling porcelain, Hunan embroidery works, and other commodities in fluent English to overseas consumers at the Guochuan Cross-border E-commerce Livestreaming Base on the fourth floor of "Your Mall" on October 25. The livestreaming base project was settled in the Airport Area of the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area in 2021. It was positioned as Hunan's largest cross-border e-commerce livestreaming base in the whole ecological industrial chain. The mode of "livestreaming + short videos + ecological layout" is adopted to promote Chinese products abroad. The first phase of the project, covering an area of 2,000 sqm, has begun trial operation. The second phase is expected to be put into use in 2023, which will bring the total operation area to nearly 10,000 sqm.

The base is to target Southeast Asian markets, according to Aille, a person in charge of the livestreaming base. It integrates industrial chains including Zhuzhou clothes industrial belt, Liling porcelain industrial belt, and Shaodong luggage and bags industrial belt, and focuses on available short videos, multi-channel network (MCN) companies and livestreaming organizations, to promote in-depth integration of quality import and export supply chains and new media on cross-border e-commerce.

"The Airport Area of the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area is a comprehensive industrial park capable of operating cross-border e-commerce livestreaming business. The livestreaming base will foster a new e-commerce mode to facilitate Chinese products and cultural creative products to go global," Aille said. After being put into use, the base will create tens of thousands of jobs in direct or indirect way, involving livestreaming hosts, creative planning, e-commerce operation, video shooting, post production, and customer service. The base will also carry out cooperation with Changsha-based universities. This will help incubate 1,000 cross-border online video talents and facilitate talent exchange of 3,000 cross-border video professionals.

The Airport Area is an essential industrial park of the China (Changsha) Comprehensive Cross-Border E-Commerce Pilot Zone. It has introduced more than 10 key cross-border e-commerce projects since 2021, including the Huanghua Digital Trade Port, "Your Mall", and the cross-border e-commerce livestreaming base. There are more than 300 registered cross-border e-commerce enterprises, with a complete chain of cross-border e-commerce involving sellers, platforms, service providers, and logistics supply chain.

Relevant person in charge of the Airport Area said that the area will continue to improve cross-border e-commerce industrial structure, stabilize cross-border e-commerce logistics channels, and ensure smooth flow of local products. The area is committed to building an export goods distribution center in central China, a cross-border e-commerce import port with distinctive advantages in central China, and a one-stop goods distribution center for Hunan products going global.
