The Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held a conference to convey and study the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress on the morning of October 24, 2022. Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, presided over the meeting and conveyed the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech delivered at the Meeting between Members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 20th CPC Central Committee and Chinese and Foreign Journalists.

He asked to comprehensively and faithfully study and grasp the spirit of the congress; rally closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core; fully implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; carry forward the great founding spirit of the Party; bolster self-confidence and self-reliance and innovate on the basis of what has worked in the past; make concerted efforts to forge ahead determinedly; and, strive to write a brilliant chapter on Hunan's part of realizing the Second Centenary Goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects.

The meeting was held via video link at sub-venues of each city and prefecture across Hunan Province. Yang Zhengwu, Wang Keying, Hu Biao, Wang Shuangquan, Li Dianxun, Wu Guiying, Sui Zhongcheng, Xie Weijiang, Wei Jianfeng, Yang Haodong, Wang Yiguang, Liu Lianyu and other provincial leaders and old comrades attended the meeting at the main venue.

Provincial leaders of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, the People's Government of Hunan Province, and the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee; President of the Hunan Provincial Higher People's Court; Procurator General of the Hunan Provincial People's Procuratorate; Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of the Central South University; old comrades at sub-provincial level; and, persons in charge of relevant provincial departments and some central government agencies in Hunan Province joined the meeting.
