The Changsha Health and Medical Big Data Industry Incubation Base, built and operated by the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Development Group Co., Ltd., was recently opened and put into operation. A number of enterprises related to the health and medical industry chain were attracted to settle in the base, which helps achieve industrial agglomeration effect.

The health and medical industry is an emerging industry of strategic importance in the Xiangjiang New Area. The number of enterprises, industrial scale, listed enterprises, and scientific research resources ranked in the forefront among provinces and cities. In recent years, the Xiangjiang New Area has actively promoted the deep integration of big data and the health and medical industry and made every effort to build the Xiangjiang Digital Health Industrial Park. The industrial park is designated to be a comprehensive demonstration area for the integration of industry and city that focuses on "medical treatment, regimen, research, business and tourism". It is expected to achieve a total annual output value of 50 billion yuan and tax revenue of 5 billion yuan by the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).

Located in the Xiangjiang Digital Health Industrial Park, the base has a core construction area of 105,000 square meters. It will focus on introducing and cultivating biopharmaceutical, genetic engineering, medical devices, and health management enterprises, among others, and creating an innovation highland for the integration of healthcare and big data.

The base has been authorized by the Changsha government to carry out health and medical big data operation. In the near future, it will rely on the 10,000-sqm internet data center (IDC) to integrate the medical data of major hospitals across the province, build an integrated and intensive data interaction and sharing platform, and create a business model serving the government, hospitals, enterprises and residents, and strive to become a national-level health and medical digital industry demonstration zone in central China.
