In the first eight months of this year, service enterprises above designated size continued to recover steadily as the policy package for stabilizing the economy has continued to take effect, according to the latest data released by the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics.

Revenues have soared. From January to August, the province's service enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 365.648 billion yuan, an increase of 8.8% year on year. The growth rate was 3.7 percentage points higher than the national average, increased by 2.9 percentage points month on month.

Twenty-five of the 34 industries achieved growth in operating income, accounting for 73.5% of the total. The growth rate of operating income generated in software and information technology service industry, science and technology promotion and application service industry, leasing industry, and social work exceeded 30%.

In the first eight months, the province's service enterprises above designated size achieved a total profit of 27.285 billion yuan, an increase of 0.8% year on year. About 85.3% of industries and 75.6% of enterprises achieved profitability. Telecommunications, radio and television and satellite transmission service industry, business service industry and health service industry ranked among the top three with total profits of 9.935 billion yuan, 3.29 billion yuan and 3.162 billion yuan respectively. The residential service industry and the entertainment industry saw the most obvious growth in profit, with the total profit growth rate exceeding 260%.
