During the 24 hours of October 15, there were 9 new local asymptomatic cases reported in Hunan (5 in Changde City, 2 in Shaoyang City, 1 in Hengyang City, and 1 in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture). There were no new asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. There were two new cases out of quarantine. There were 126 people under medical observation.

Between 0:00 on January 1, 2022 and 24:00 on October 15, 2022, a total of 300 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 63 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 50 patients hospitalized, and no severe cases. Two hundred and fifty patients were discharged from hospitals (including 63 imported cases). No people had died.
