The Hunan Museum will limit daily reservations from 12,000 to 5,000 (including reservations for temporary exhibitions) starting from October 12, according to a notice released by the museum via Sina Weibo account on the afternoon of October 11. The decision was made to tighten anti-epidemic measures after a recent resurgence of COVID-19 infections in Changsha. The museum still implements an online real-name reservation system. Regular guide service will be suspended for the museum's two permanent exhibitions, namely, The Mawangdui Han Dynasty Tombs in Changsha and the Hunanese—Exhibition of Hunan History and Culture. Educational activities and multimedia equipment in exhibition halls will not be available for the time being.
