Those in Hengyang and Xiangtan were asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. The one in Yiyang came or returned to Hunan from other province.

During the 24 hours of October 10, there were 16 new asymptomatic cases reported in Hunan (6 in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, 4 in Changsha, 3 in Yongzhou, 1 in Xiangtan, 1 in Changde, and 1 in Zhangjiajie). Those in Yongzhou came or returned to Hunan from other provinces. There were 3 new asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. There were no new cases out of quarantine. There were 101 people under medical observation.

Between 0:00 on January 1, 2022 and 24:00 on October 10, 2022, a total of 280 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 63 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 48 patients hospitalized, and no severe cases. Two hundred and thirty-two patients were discharged from hospitals (including 63 imported cases). No people had died.
