During the 24 hours of October 8, there were 18 new asymptomatic cases reported in Hunan (5 in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, 4 in Shaoyang City, 3 in Hengyang City, 2 in Yueyang City, 1 in Changsha City, 1 in Zhangjiajie City, 1 in Chenzhou City, and 1 in Yongzhou City). Those in Yueyang, Changsha and Chenzhou came or returned from other provinces. There was 1 new asymptomatic case re-categorized as confirmed one. There were 2 new cases out of quarantine. There were 70 people under medical observation.
