The National Day holiday concluded on October 7 amid the autumn rain. According to data released by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, cross-provincial travel has been restricted due to the epidemic, and the overall number of tourists received by the province has decreased.
During the seven-day holiday, 939 units included in the provincial statistics and monitoring system received more than 9.17 million tourist arrivals and achieved an operating revenue of 951 million yuan. A total of 330 tourist areas included in the monitoring system witnessed more than 8.80 million tourist arrivals, generating an operating revenue of 783.2 million yuan.
There was a strong demand for short-distance micro-vacation travel such as road trips, surrounding tours and rural tours. It got better released during the holiday.
During the holiday, 75 scenic spots at the national 3A-level or below in the province received over 1.20 million visits, an increase of 11.12% year on year, and achieved an operating revenue of 109 million yuan, up 16.72% year on year. A total of 404 accommodation units received 368,200 visits and gained an operating revenue of 168 million yuan, up 2.73% year on year.
