There were 3 cases who came or returned from other provinces, including 1 in Hengyang City, 1 in Yongzhou City, and 1 in Zhangjiajie City.

During the 24 hours of October 6, there were 23 new asymptomatic cases reported in Hunan (12 in Changsha City, 4 in Changde City, 2 in Hengyang City, 2 in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, 1 in Zhuzhou City, 1 in Xiangtan City, and 1 in Yiyang City). They all came or returned from other provinces except 2 local cases in Hengyang City and 2 in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. There were 3 new asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. There was 1 new case out of quarantine. There were 50 people under medical observation (including 1 imported case).

Between 0:00 on January 1, 2022 and 24:00 on October 6, 2022, a total of 263 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 63 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 32 patients hospitalized, and no severe cases. Two hundred and thirty-one patients were discharged from hospitals (including 63 imported cases). No people had died.
