During the 24 hours of October 3, there were 3 new local asymptomatic cases reported in Hunan (2 in Changsha City including one local asymptomatic case who returned from other province, and 1 in Yueyang City). There were two new asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. There were no new cases out of quarantine. There were 17 people under medical observation (including 1 imported case).

Between 0:00 on January 1, 2022 and 24:00 on October 3, 2022, a total of 250 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 63 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 21 patients hospitalized, and no severe cases. Two hundred and twenty-nine patients were discharged from hospitals (including 63 imported cases). No people had died.
