People's travel demands are increased as the National Day holiday approaches. According to the Hunan Airport Corporation, Hunan's airports are expected to handle 382,000 passenger trips during the 7-day National Day holiday. The daily passenger throughput will hit 55,000 on average, increasing 45% over the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday earlier this month. A travel rush peak will be seen on September 30, and the return-trip rush will be on October 7.

The Changsha Huanghua International Airport is expected to see 330,000 passenger trips during the holiday. The Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport is resuming operation at a steady pace. The Chenzhou Beihu Airport will greet 70% passengers more than that in the same period of last year.

A majority of the flights head towards Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Xi'an, Kunming, Haikou, Jinan, and Chongqing. More flights to China's northeast region will be operated over the previous years. The flights to Sanya and Chengdu will be resumed gradually.

Hunan's airports will coordinate epidemic prevention and control with the holiday flight service and operation to ensure safe and smooth travels. Passengers are reminded to heed the country's call on epidemic prevention and control, follow the anti-epidemic rules, make reasonable travel plans, and maintain proper personal protection on holiday trips.
