Over the past 10 years, all the city's 84 poverty-stricken villages and 134,200 registered poorer people in 46,600 households were lifted out of poverty. The per capita disposable income of rural residents surged from 15,057 yuan in 2012 to 38,195 yuan in 2021, up 153.4%. The number of employees increased from 4,479,300 in 2012 to 5,328,300 in 2021. Annual fiscal spending on education increased from 11.291 billion yuan to 27.269 billion yuan. The gross enrollment rate in preschool education rose from 89.1% to 96.3%. The city's expenditure on people's livelihood rose from 46.5 billion yuan in 2012 to 119.7 billion yuan in 2021, and the proportion of expenditure on people's livelihood in the city's general public budget remained stable at more than 75%.
