Hunan Government, China Unicom Sign Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement

The People's Government of Hunan Province and the China United Network Communications Group Co., Ltd. (China Unicom) signed a framework agreement on deepening digital economy strategic cooperation in Changsha on September 16, 2022. Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, met with Liu Liehong, secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and chairman of the Board of China Unicom. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, attended the signing ceremony.

According to the agreement, the two parties will establish a high-level consultation mechanism and a connection and implementation mechanism. They will exchange and collaborate on optimizing and upgrading the computing power support system, promoting industrial digital transformation, accelerating digital industries development, improving the level of digitalization in public services, and building the China Unicom Central South Research Institute.
